Computational neuroscience and neuromorphic AI engineer, biomedical neuroscience researcher, and scientific entrepreneur leading marketing, communications, and entrepreneurial startup strategy across the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics, the World Brain Mapping Foundation, and the Brain Technology Innovation Park.
I'm Arifa Kokab, a neurodivergent (AuDHD) AI engineer and biomedical neuroscience researcher. My work sits at the intersection of computational neuroscience, neuromorphic AI, and ethical innovation, designing intelligent systems that deepen our understanding of the human brain and improve human wellbeing. I specialize in building brain-computer interfaces (BCI) using neuromorphic AI.
I currently serve as Head of the AI Division at the Society for Brain Mapping and Therapeutics (SBMT), leading marketing, communications, and entrepreneurial startup strategy across SBMT, the World Brain Mapping Foundation (WBMF), and the Brain Technology Innovation Park (BTIP) three interconnected organizations advancing global brain health as a single innovation ecosystem.
I am also the scientific founder and CEO of The Neurobusiness Corporation, where I build digital twins of target consumers, modeled per individual consumer decision model, to give large B2C corporations a consumer intelligence platform unlike anything else in neuromarketing. No client data is ever shared. Through a SaaS interface, a brand uploads its marketing material and sees how its target consumer's average digital twin is likely to engage with it, scored against the KPIs that digital twin's decision model was trained on.
Beyond research and strategy, I create TheBusinessScientist101 on YouTube, making complex ideas in AI, biomedical neuroscience, and business strategy accessible to a global audience, and I speak to students and professional audiences about resilience, emotional intelligence, and neurodiversity.
McKnight Brain Institute, University of Florida. Foundation for an MD-PhD (MSTP) pathway in neurodegeneration, AI, and CRISPR.
University of San Diego, graduated with a 4.0 GPA. Foundation for neuromorphic AI architectures and multimodal predictive modeling.
Hult International Business School, awarded with Gold Medal honors. Foundation for entrepreneurial and organizational strategy.
Heading the AI division and driving marketing, communications, and entrepreneurial startup strategy for the society's research and innovation programs.
Shaping philanthropic strategy and public communications for WBMF's mission to advance global brain health research and education.
Driving commercialization and startup strategy for BTIP, translating brain mapping research into venture-ready technology and spinoff companies.
Building the first-of-its-kind digital twin platform in neuromarketing: a per-consumer decision model trained on neuromarketing data, delivered as a SaaS consumer intelligence platform for large B2C corporations. Brands upload marketing material and see how their target consumer's digital twin engages with it, scored against that decision model's KPIs. No client data is ever shared.
